Growers News:
Calico Farm:
Welcome back to one of our customer’s favorite scone flavors – Blackberry Lemon. It’s light, bright & bursting with warmer-weather flavors from fresh organic blackberries & lemon zest. They’re finished with a hand-squeezed lemon juice icing, are sold in 4-packs & lovingly boxed up for you.
This is our newest cookie flavor and I’m SO excited about it – Raspberry Chocolate Chip. The combination of the sweet raspberries & semi-sweet dark chocolate chips is delicious. These cookies are dairy-free, organic & sold by the dozen, like all our cookies, and even freeze well if you’re a small household or buying in advance.
Don’t forget about our 4 herbal tea varieties and newest addition – peppermint green tea. All are house-blended loose teas and are delicious enjoyed hot or iced.
NashPhilly:
New pasta dish being served this week! Penna alla Vodka. It’s a tomato and cream based sauce that is flavored with vodka, to give it its distinct flavor. This dish also happens to be a vegetarian dish as well. This will make for a great little dish with a protein. Or a great little snack/ meal on its own
Marshmallow Dessert Café & Catering:
We specializes in New Southern and Creole fare, crafted with a focus on non-GMO ingredients, fresh herbs, and bold spices. What sets us apart is our commitment to better ingredients while also offering vegan and gluten-free options without compromising on flavor. From a comforting bowl of gumbo to our beautifully packaged baking mixes, every product is made with your well-being in mind—so you can indulge and enjoy.
First enjoy a quick and easy way to make delicious sweet southern cornbread. Just add your choice of milk and enjoy. Made with organic cornmeal and contains no preservatives. Makes an 8×8 pan. This is a great and easy addition to your meal and no one will know it’s vegan!
How about a delicious one bowl mix for a fudge pie inspired by orange essence and warm cinnamon. Just add wet ingredients and pour into your crust. This resealable bag contains mix for 2 pies! No preservatives and non gmo ingredients. Tip: Try it without a crust for a delicious brownie!
Our “Salt-Free” spice mix contains herbs and peppers that will take any savory dish to the next level. It contains a unique combination of herbs, cayenne and African spices and peppers. Season everything from meat, fish, vegetables and soups! Contains no preservatives.
Temple Love Juices:

Remember you can always email or text me if you want to place an order and I forgot to open the Market or if I seem t have not adjusted quantities available since last week. Often flexible here though not always predictable.
If you Want to pick up the order at the Chillax Drum Circle in the Villages Sunday Afternoons, just let me know so I can bring it along. If you are with a homeschool group or other facebook group I attend events regularly, Let me know so I can plan accordingly. Otherwise when ordering, remember to let me know when you want to come pick up at the farm. If I don’t email you back to confirm, the order may not have gone through. To make an order you must be signed in, and you add products to your cart individually and then to check out you must go to your cart (Left side of screen near the top of the Market page) to do the check out and actually place the order.
The regular ordering window is now (as in whenever I open the Market) through Thursday 8am for Friday-Sunday pickup. However, if I send this Out Thursday, It has what is available after the Restaurants have ordered and you can place an order for pickup whenever we arrange it. (Or check with me tclynx@aquaponiclynx.com or text 407-342-8515 if you might want to pick up sooner or for special arrangements, I’m usually flexible.)
I may still be able to take orders after Thursday Morning but can’t guarantee availability of things as I may have already packed them for the Restaurants.
Ordering window is Monday Afternoon (or when I open it) through Thursday Morning and pick up will be Friday-Sunday by appointment until we expand more, Please indicate when you would like to pick up when you place your order.
I’m repeating myself now…..
Remember to tell me when you want to pick up! (and if I don’t reply to confirm within a day, bump my e-mail or text me 407-342-8515. Though I have cleaned up my e-mail so hopefully I won’t Miss Anyone.)
Sign in to order. https://yalaha.locallygrown.net/market
You have to sign in to see the add to cart button. Then set the number and click the add to cart button on the items you want to buy (it is the little picture right next to the quantity box.) Remember you need to check out before your order will be placed.
Remember to let me know when you want to pick up on Sat or maybe even Friday late afternoon or on Sunday. (If I don’t send you an e-mail confirmation of your order and pick up time, please make sure you checked out and completed your order.)

Market is open Fridays at 9 p.m. through 9 p.m. Mondays!
Thank you for choosing Northeast Georgia Locally Grown as a way to support your local producers. This farmers market allows you to preorder directly from multiple farms committed to chemical-free and local produce all year long! CHEMICAL-FREE means produce and pastures grown without synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, or insecticides. LOCAL means within 80 miles from the market pickup locations (usually much much closer). Do you know someone who grows chemical-free food in the area? Get them in touch with us. Know someone who wants fresh food? Spread the word. Put the two together, and that’s growing organically!
PICKUP TIME is Wednesday from 5-6:30 p.m. in Clayton, Clarkesville, or Gainesville.
If you do not get an email ORDER CONFIRMATION after you finish the checkout process, your order may NOT be complete. Head back to the market page, and your order might still be there waiting for you to check out! If you have any trouble or questions at all, we are here to help; simply reply to this email.
Once you place an order, be on the lookout for the order reminder email on Wednesday with further pickup and payment notes.
Thanks for supporting local farmers!
Dothan, Alabama: March 29, 2025 M@D Newsletter - Time to ORDER!

MISC MARKET NOTES
A HUGE Thank You to our vendors who helped with spring cleaning and freshening up the Market Shed on our last pickup date. What a difference! And thank you to everyone who dealt with the traffic jam picking up orders as well.

There is more work to be done but the it shouldn’t block the entrance to the extent the last work day did. We hope you like the fresh look as much as we do.
If you failed to catch it on WDHN earlier this month the Market got a shout out during a Women’s History Month segment. That clip can be seen HERE. Jessica Gauthier is a wonderful journalist and we appreciate her interest in what we do.
Speaking of Women’s History Month, there is another woman Jessica featured the following week whose story makes all the others pale in comparison. You may view my mother in law’s interview by clicking THIS LINK. Mom Horton’s book, containing far more information, will be published later this year and if you are interested in pre-ordering a copy please add it as a note to your order and we’ll make sure you are on the list.

Video of the Week
2025 Schedule
This is Nuts! If you need to preserve pecans and don’t have freezer space they are very easy to can and store in mason or recycled jars where they’ll keep up to 5 years.
1. Toast your pecans. Spread on a cookie sheet and place in a cold oven. Preheat the oven to 300 degrees and immediately turn it off when it reaches temperature. DO NOT OPEN the door and leave them in the oven till everything is cooled.
2. Put your pecans in a dry sterilized quart mason jar or sterilized spaghetti type glass jar. Wipe the rim with a dry cloth in case any small fragments fall on the rim.
3. Microwave each individual jars for 2 minutes. This heats the glass, not the nuts.
4. Immediately place your dry sterilized lid on the jar and allow to cool. As the glass cools it will form a vacuum and seal the jar.
We look forward to seeing you next Friday at one of our pickup locations. Thank you for your interest and support of our efforts to bring you the healthiest, the freshest and the most delicious locally-produced foods possible!
